About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website, operated by [CONFIRM: registered company name and registration number], trading as Pool Referrals Cape Town. By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We are a referral service

We connect people who need swimming pool work with independent contractors who cover their suburb. We do not carry out pool work. When a contractor contacts you, any quote, agreement, payment and guarantee for the work is between you and that contractor.

We are not an agent of the contractor or of you, and we are not a party to the agreement for the work. We are not responsible for the contractor's work, advice, prices, timing, conduct or compliance with laws, building rules or standards. [CONFIRM: attorney review of referral and liability wording]

What we try to do

We aim to refer your enquiry to a contractor who covers your suburb and does the type of work you describe. We cannot promise that a contractor will be available, will contact you within a particular time, or will agree to do the work. If we cannot find a suitable contractor, we will try to tell you.

[CONFIRM: whether the referral is free to home owners, and how contractors pay for referrals, for disclosure here]

Your responsibilities

Give accurate information in your enquiry and only submit details that are yours or that you are entitled to share. Check any contractor's quote, credentials, insurance and guarantee before you accept. Make sure work that needs approval, such as a new pool's building plans or estate approval, is approved before it starts.

Information on this website

Our guides and service pages are general information, written in good faith for Cape Town pool owners. They are not professional advice for your specific pool, and conditions vary from site to site. Do not rely on them instead of an inspection by a qualified contractor. Electrical work should always be done by a qualified person.

We do not publish prices. Any example or factor we describe is not a quote.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the work, advice or conduct of a contractor, from your reliance on general information on this site, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 that cannot lawfully be limited. [CONFIRM: attorney review]

Using the website properly

Do not use the site or the enquiry form to send spam, false enquiries, other people's details without their permission, or anything unlawful or harmful. Do not try to break or overload the site, its security check or the enquiry endpoint. We may block enquiries that appear automated or abusive, and we may decline to refer any enquiry.

The content on this site belongs to us or is used with permission. You may read it and share links to it, but you may not copy it in bulk or republish it as your own.

Complaints

Complaints about the work itself should go to the contractor, because the agreement for the work is between you and them. If you are unhappy with how we handled your enquiry or your information, contact us at [CONFIRM: business contact email] and we will respond.

Privacy

We handle personal information as set out in our privacy policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Last updated: 12 October 2026.
