Pool repair and pool services in Bishopscourt
Bishopscourt is known for large properties and mature gardens on the slopes near Kirstenbosch. We refer you to a pool contractor who covers the area.
Large properties and access
Bishopscourt properties are large, many with established gardens, and pools here are often bigger and more elaborate than average: longer pools, infinity edges, water features, heating systems and separate pump houses. That makes the systems more complex to diagnose and maintain.
Access shapes the work. Pools may sit well back from the street, behind gardens that owners do not want damaged, or on terraces on the slope. Getting materials in and rubble out, or bringing machinery in for a renovation, can need planning, protection of lawns and paving, and sometimes hand-carrying. Security arrangements also affect contractor access and working hours.
Like neighbouring Newlands and Constantia, Bishopscourt sits on the wet side of the mountain. Heavy winter rain and big trees add to leaf load and groundwater, and affect when surface work can be done.

What to tell the contractor
Describe the access route from the street to the pool, any parts of the garden that need protecting, security procedures and preferred working hours. For complex systems, say what equipment is installed and whether it has been serviced recently.

Frequently asked questions
Can a contractor protect my garden during a renovation?
Ask for it in the quote. Ground protection, a planned access route and rubble removal should be agreed before work starts.
Can you refer for heated and infinity pools?
Yes. Tell us about the heating and overflow systems so we refer a contractor who works on them.
How do security procedures affect the work?
They affect access times and who can be on site. Share the procedure with the contractor when you agree the quote.
